AICNSW Member Discounts

Member discounts for AICNSW events are offered to the following persons:
1. Members who renewed their membership from the prior year within the renewal period.
2. Members who allowed their membership to lapse but have renewed their membership at least 6 months prior to the event.
3. Members who have applied for membership for the very first time, or have not been a member for more than 12 months, will not have any qualifying period.
Unless one of the above applies AND the member is financial at the date of the event the non-member rate will be applied.


Warranties and liabilities

The AIC NSW excludes any condition or warranty, unless it is expressly set out in these Terms and Conditions or is by law incapable of exclusion, restriction or modification.

The AIC NSW will under no circumstances be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising in relation to any transaction entered into, or any goods or services purchased, through this website.

Payments

All prices are in Australian Dollars and inclusive of GST, unless otherwise indicated.

Payment for all AICNSW Events, courses, seminars and membership is by Visa or MasterCard only.  AICNSW no longer accepts cheques.

Payment can be made using the method of payment indicated on the AICNSW Members Portal, Event Portal or order form  supplied by the AICNSW.

Refund/cancellation policy

If you notify us in writing more than 5 business days before a seminar, course or event that you are unable to attend, you may choose to be transferred to a similar type of event, nominate another person in the same pricing category to attend in your stead, or request a refund be issued.

If you notify us in writing 5 business days or less prior to the seminar, course or event that you are unable to attend, you may nominate a replacement person in the same pricing category to attend in your stead. No refund will be issued.

To claim a refund, transfer or re-allocation, or for further information please send an email to events@aicnsw.com.au.

AICNSW reserves the right to cancel or postpone an event to an alternative date or to alter the program. Should your event be cancelled or postponed, you will receive a full refund or be offered the opportunity to transfer to the next available event within the same category.

Event Photography

AICNSW advises that video footage or photos may be taken during educational events, which may or may not include your recognisable image.

Please be advised, by registering for an event, you agree to allow AICNSW to use the images in print, digital or web-based formats for promotional and archival purposes.

If you do not wish us to use your image, please notify the event organiser or a AICNSW staff member.

 

Privacy Statement:

The Australian Institute of Conveyancers NSW Division (AICNSW) is a Division of the Australian Institute of Conveyancers (AIC).

The following sets out the AICNSW policy for handling and managing personal information collected from both members and non members in connection with our services and other activities.

Purpose of collection of personal information:

Personal information is information about an individual and includes facts or an opinion about the individual which identifies the individual or by which the individual's identity can be reasonably determined.

AICNSW collects personal information for the purpose of:

> Provision and promotion of member services,
> The provision and promotion of other services for members and conveyancers generally,
> The provision of information relating to conveyancing and related matters,
> Maintaining and developing our business systems, and
> Maintaining our financial arrangements with you.

Consequences if personal information is not provided:

If your personal information is not provided we will not be able to process your application or other requests made by you or provide you with the services we offer.

The use and disclosure of personal information:

We will only use your personal information for the purposes for which it was collected, such as:
> For the maintenance of membership records,
> Providing you with information relating to the work of a licensed conveyancer,
> Providing details of membership services and or benefits, 
> Providing limited mailing lists in a controlled manner to entities for the purpose of AIC and AICNSW mail outs,  
> Providing limited information to AIC for the purpose of providing information and services to members,
> Providing information to those entities that regulate conveyancers and as may be required by law,
> Provision of information that may be required by a Professional Indemnity Insurance provider and/or broker, 
> The publication of lists on AICNSW web sites of conveyancing businesses owned by members.

Disclosure of attendance lists for educational events:

A list of all registered attendees including the attendee's name, business name and email address (if known) may be provided to any sponsor corporation associated with that event for which the attendee has registered.

Secure storage of information:

Information is held by us in both paper and electronic form.

AICNSW takes every reasonable precaution to see that information collected is held securely and is not used for any unauthorised purpose or disclosure.

Accuracy of information:

The information provided by you is assumed to be correct unless you advise us otherwise.

Unless we become aware that the information held is not accurate we cannot correct it. We need each member to advise us when personal information changes.

Access to Information:

If you want access to the information we hold about you, you need only request it and it will be made available.
